Packing Carryon - Never Forget Anything Important
Again!
Are you like me and need a packing carryon list when going
on trips? I habitually forget SOMETHING if left to my own devices. Just copy
it into a word processing or spreadsheet software and print for your trip. I
suggest making a few copies for when you are packing and for coming back (don’t
forget to put a list in your carryon!).
Here is a list of things pack in carryon luggage:
- Your
airline tickets obviously.
-
Passport – even when traveling within your own country, you never know when
you made need to make a last minute trip.
- If
you booked with a travel agent, keep their contact info handy.
- Proof
of travel insurance.
- Make
copies of your passport and put them in a separate bag, like a purse or your
traveling partner’s carryon luggage.
-
Traveler’s checks
- Any
medications you can’t afford to wait for (in their original bottles). Also bring a copy of your
prescriptions in case of loss.
-
Camera
- Cell
phone and charger
- Neck
pillow and/or ear plugs for in-flight comfort.
- Small
toys and snacks for your kids (if applicable).
-
Reading materials
-
Kleenex – great for wiping up spills or toilet paper if necessary.
- If
you’re traveling to a country where English isn’t widely spoken, a
translator book or electronic device could come in handy when you can’t find
your luggage at the airport.
-
Female sanitary products – try and imagine explaining THAT to a foreign
store clerk.
-
Sunglasses
- Music
player
- Fresh
underwear – even better, pack a full change of clothes in your partner’s
carryon and vice versa.
-
Emergency contact, medical and any other important information in case you
are incapacitated.
Basically pack anything you can’t live without for a day
or two if your luggage is lost. Visit our accessories
page for anything you might be missing!
