A lot of people are making a backpack their carry-all of choice.  Not only is a backpack practical with all it’s different sections, but they’ve become cool and stylish.  It doesn’t matter what features you have in mind, with just a little searching you’ll find the perfect backpack for you.

Will the primary function of your backpack be to carry a few essentials during the day?  Make sure it’s waterproof in case you’re stuck in the rain and has compartments to securely store things like money and I.D. You also want to check the material to make sure it’s nice and sturdy (they’ll usually say tear-resistant). 

Backpacking is your goal?  Get a pack with padded shoulder straps – important if you’ll be doing a lot of walking – and clips across the chest and waist for better distribution of weight.  You’d be surprised how heavy a backpack can get.
