Clothing Check List for Travel
When packing for a trip, it’s always a good idea to have a
clothing check list for travel. I have a generic one set up that I customize
based on the trip; warm or cold weather, length of trip, etc. Here’s my version
of it, feel free to use it if you like. And if you’re missing any travel
clothes for your voyage, visit our Travel
Clothing page to pick some up from the stores with the cheapest prices
online!
- 1 pair of socks per day
of trip.
- 1.5 pairs of underwear
per day of trip. (i.e. 1.5 x 8 = 12, round up if necessary)
- If you’re a woman, at
least 3 bras: 1 for comfort, 1 for style and 1 to match your “sexy” outfit.
- If you’re a man, at
least 2 ties that will match a few dress shirts.
- If you anticipate going
to nice restaurants or a casino (for example) while on your trip, pack a
couple of nicer outfits.
- At least 2 pairs of
shoes, 1 comfy pair and 1 dressy pair.
- Shower sandals – you
don’t know who was there before you.
- Swimsuit – even if
you’re headed somewhere chilly, your hotel will likely have a pool that you
may want to take advantage of.
- 1 casual shirt per day
of travel.
- .5 pairs of
jeans/comfortable pants per day, or as many as you can spare, depending on
the places you’ll visit.
- A sweater or light
jacket – even in very warm areas you may encounter cool nights.
- For the men, at least 2
dress shirts and 1 dress jacket – you never know if a fancy restaurant in
another country will require a jacket and tie, many still do.
- For the women, at least
1 dress and 1 skirt for the same reason as the last point.
- At least 1 pair of
shorts per day of travel if you’re heading somewhere warm.
- At least 2 pairs of
pajamas, or your version of night clothing.
That clothing list should cover most of the basics. If you
see something missing that should be included, please
contact us. Have a great trip!
