Buying A Plus Size Swimsuit Isn't As Painful As You'd Think!
If you’ve ever met me, you know I certainly fit into the
plus size swimsuits category. This means I don’t have the luxury of walking
into just any store to shop for a bathing suit. Not to mention, when you don’t
look like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, it’s not much fun to shop for a
swimsuit.
The good news is that these days, more and more stores are
offering nice plus size selections. And if we still don’t love how we look,
there are lots of swimsuit cover-up options. I personally own a few sarongs
(big piece of cloth you can artfully wrap around your bathing suit) and some
mesh lightweight pants that go beautifully over my swimsuit.
Still, you have to find the right bathing suit before you
buy your swimsuit cover-ups. Thank goodness the days of big girl swimsuits all
having skirts are over (at least the swimsuits with skirts look better). And
we’re no longer limited to one piece swimsuits. I’m not suggesting running out
to get a bikini swimsuit (perish the thought!) but a popular choice, one that I
personally like, is the tankini. It’s a two piece swimsuit which is a tank top
and bikini bottom. I find it more flattering.
Whatever your preference, I highly recommend the merchants on the
travel clothing page for all your swimsuit
needs.
